In the comments, fans shared their excitement.

“2 million views and 100,000 likes in 10 minutes… The biggest band in the world is officially back,” @StokeyG2 wrote on X.

“THE WORLD IS HEALED,” @ellis_platten said in a post viewed more than 247,000 times.

“Coolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcool, without a doubt,” said the official Guinness World Records account.

“You too are already sweating at the thought of buying tickets 😭,” skincare and body care brand Nivea Men added via Instagram.

“This doesn’t look real,” said UK editor The Manc, while Instagram user @tobydrummer_ added: “Ticket Master is about to have a seizure.”

The official Oasis website was briefly down on Tuesday morning. Users were redirected to an error message that read: “An error has occurred Error 20 oasisinet.com. What happened? The proxy failed to connect to the web server due to a TCP connection timeout.”

At the time of publication, the website has been restored. A message shared on their website reads: “Oasis today ends years of feverish speculation with the confirmation of a long-awaited series of UK and Ireland concerts as the domestic leg of their OASIS LIVE ’25 world tour. Oasis will perform in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin in the summer of 2025. Their only European shows next year, it will be one of the biggest live shows and most sought-after tickets of the decade.”

They added: “Plans are underway for OASIS LIVE ’25 to take place on other continents outside of Europe later next year.”

A message from Oasis, shared on their website and social media, read: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come and see. This will not be televised.”

Tickets for the UK dates will be available to purchase from ticketmaster.co.uk, gigsandtours.com and seetickets.com. Tickets for Dublin will be available from ticketmaster.ie.

Reunion rumors began circulating over the weekend when a teaser appeared on Oasis’ social media. “27.08.24,” the Saturday post read, followed by “8am.”

Then, at the Reading and Leeds Festival on Sunday, Liam Gallagher dedicated ‘Half the World Away’ to Noel Gallagher, calling his brother “the greatest songwriter”.

The moment seemed to mark a ceasefire between the two brothers, who had been separated for 15 years. The announcement of their tour came a day before the anniversary of their separation, on August 28, 2009, before they took the stage at the Rock En Seine festival in Paris.

At the time, Noel Gallagher released a statement saying: “It is with some sadness and great relief that I announce that I have left Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they want, but I simply could not continue working with Liam for another day.”

A few months earlier, Noel Gallagher had said of Liam Gallagher: “He’s the angriest man you’ll ever meet.”

Their feuds date back to the early 1990s, however, when, for example, Liam would often change Noel’s lyrics during their first American tour.

Appearing on BBC Breakfast, Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham shared his excitement over Oasis’ announcement.

“This is the news we’ve all been waiting for. It promises to be a massive day for Manchester,” Burnham said, according to the Daily Mail“It would be the most Noel and Liam thing if one of them woke up this morning and said they’d changed their minds… It would be one of the biggest things we’ve seen in recent times.”
