The transfer window is set to be busy at AS Monaco. The Principality club has already welcomed Lamine Camara, George Ilenikhena, Jordan Teze, Christian Mawissa and Paris Brunner, but it may not be done with this transfer window.

While another midfielder remains a priority following the departures of Youssouf Fofana, Mohamed Camara and Felix Lemarechal, Monaco could still sign another central defender. Guillermo Maripán has been ruled out The Monegasques The Olympique Lyonnais squad for the matchday of June 25, 2018. The Chilean was not injured and it was simply a decision by manager Adi Hütter to leave the experienced central defender on the bench.

Although it is far from certain that Maripán will leave Monaco before the transfer window closes in just four days, the possibility nevertheless exists. The Parisian Paris Saint-Germain’s Danilo Pereira is reportedly being considered as a potential replacement.

Danilo attracted interest from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad this summer, but the team’s interest has since cooled. PSG are looking to part ways with the centre-back, whose name was mentioned in talks within the Principality club last week.
