The Next Marvel Series Agatha forever is about to bring the beloved WandaVision character back on the small screen.

However, Agatha Harkness’ cultural influence extends far beyond the confines of Disney+, extending all the way to a drag brunch in Minneapolis!

Showrunner Jac Schaeffer shared with Sound effects magazine how this unique celebration of their show deeply moved her and served as inspiration for the spin-off.

Showrunner Moved by Unique ‘WandaVision’ Celebration

Schaeffer expressed his deep emotional reaction to the WandaVision-a drag-themed brunch, saying in the interview, “It was so beautiful and exciting to have our show celebrated in that way.”

“I could cry thinking about it.”

“I thought about that drag brunch almost every day, Agatha forever“I wanted this series to be worthy of that kind of fandom and adulation,” she added.

Kathryn Hahn echoed the showrunner’s sentiments

Kathryn Hahn, who reprises her role as Agatha in the spin-off, echoed Schaeffer’s sentiments.

She recalled her co-star Elizabeth Olsen (who played Wanda Maximoff)’s reaction to the drag brunch: “I remember Lizzie being like, ‘Well, here we are.’ It was the coolest tribute.”

This unique celebration of WandaVision clearly had a profound impact on the cast and crew of the series.

“Agatha All Along” Plot and Casting Details

Agatha forever follows the titular witch as she embarks on a journey down the legendary Witch Road to regain her powers.

The series boasts an all-star cast, including Joe Locke, Ali Ahn, Sasheer Zamata, Debra Jo Rupp and Patti LuPone.

Earlier, the trailer revealed a genre-bending storyline as Harkness investigates Wanda’s death and reunites with old witch friends to regain her power.

The series is set to premiere with two episodes on Disney+ on September 18.
