Elton John has shared an important health update with his fans.

Speaking to his fans on Instagram on Tuesday (September 3), the legendary singer, 77, said a “serious eye infection” had taken a huge toll on his vision.

“Over the summer I dealt with a serious eye infection that unfortunately left me with limited vision in one eye. I am healing, but it is an extremely slow process and it will be some time before the affected eye regains sight,” the “Crocodile Rock” icon wrote in the statement.
