Man charged with second-degree murder in father’s death, Virginia Beach police say

Virginia Beach police have arrested a man in connection with the death of his father over the weekend.

Police said officers responded to the 3000 block of Roebling Lane Sunday afternoon for a death investigation. Emergency responders found Scott Seitz, 66, dead at the scene. A department spokesperson said a preliminary investigation was conducted and as a result, Seth Seitz, 25, Scott Seitz’s son, has been charged with second-degree murder.

At this time, Scott Seitz’s cause of death is unclear. A department spokesperson told The Virginian-Pilot that the medical examiner is investigating the cause of death in this case.
