Who’s ready for Sunday football? Here’s when and where to watch the Packers and Lions this season

Every Yooper has heard this question.

It’s no secret that UP is split when it comes to choosing its home team in the NFL.

Our peninsula is filled with die-hard fans, like TV6 and FOX UP News director Andrew LaCombe, and Lions loyalists, like station manager Rick Rhoades.

But for a television channel responsible for broadcasting matches, conflicts also arise in the control room.

We get it, you get frustrated when you can’t cheer on your favorite team!

But there are rules and certain rights that streaming services buy, and Rhoades says there’s not much he can do about it.

Rhoades and LaCombe stopped by Upper Michigan Today to share their excitement for this NFL season and to break down the scheduling conflicts between the Packers and Lions and which games you’ll need to stream.

Now, back to football.

The 2024 NFL regular season begins this Thursday with a game between the Ravens and Chiefs.

If you’re hoping to catch all the Packers and/or Lions action this season, mark these game dates:

Week 1: Packers vs. Eagles this Friday at 8:15 p.m. is streaming only on Peacock.

Week 14: Packers vs Lions Thursday, December 5 at 8:15 p.m. airs only on Prime Video.

On Sunday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m., FOX UP will broadcast the Colts vs. Packers while the Buccaneers vs. Lions will be available via NFL Sunday Ticket.

On Sunday, October 27 at 1:00 p.m., FOX UP will broadcast the Packers vs Jaguars game. You can watch Titans vs Lions via NFL Sunday Ticket.
