UFC Fight Night Live Results and Highlights

The UFC is back with another Fight Night card at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV this Saturday (September 7) and the top welterweight contenders are set to meet in the evening’s main event.

The main event will see No. 6 ranked Gilbert Burns attempt to avoid losing three fights in a row when he meets No. 8 ranked Sean Brady.

Brady bounced back from the first loss of his professional career when he returned last December and earned a submission victory over Kelvin Gastelum, and now he’ll try to get a shot at the welterweight title when he meets a former title challenger in Burns.

The co-main event of the evening is a massive women’s flyweight bout featuring former UFC strawweight champion Jéssica Andrade and Natália Silva.

“Bate Estaca” has won two straight fights after being knocked out in three straight, and now she returns to flyweight to face an opponent riding an 11-fight winning streak that includes an undefeated streak in the UFC.

The rest of the main card also features an excellent featherweight fight between Kyle Nelson and Steve Garcia as well as Cody Durden stepping in on short notice to fight Matt Schnell.

Trevor Peek and Yanal Ashmouz are set to kick off the main card, and the prelims feature a number of intriguing matchups such as the all-Brazilian flyweight brawl between Andre Lima and Felipe dos Santos.

Nelson and Dylan Budka both missed weigh-ins ahead of their respective fights, but those fights will go ahead as scheduled and each fighter will lose a portion of their fight purse to Garcia and Andre Petroski.
