BJP worker stages fake shootout, arrested along with accomplices

In a dramatic turn of events, Chandausi police arrested BJP worker Prem Pal and three accomplices for allegedly masterminding a shootout.

Pal, who had initially claimed to have been shot dead in late July following a land dispute, had fabricated the story in an attempt to frame his rivals Dileep, Shyam Lal and Hemant. Investigation revealed that Pal had taken the help of two accomplices and others to inflict a minor injury and insert a bullet into the wound to simulate an attack.

The original suspects have been released from prison, while efforts continue to apprehend a remaining accomplice.
