Shively Krispy Kreme employee arrested after road rage incident involving company vehicle

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – An employee at a Krispy Kreme in Shively was arrested Thursday after police said he was involved in a road rage incident that ended with significant damage to a man’s vehicle.

Arrest documents show that Don Martell Jackson was arrested Thursday morning for a crime that occurred in October 2023.

According to the citation, Jackson and another man were involved in a road rage incident on I-265 East. The victim then followed Jackson’s vehicle to a Kroger store, where Jackson was scheduled to make a delivery.

As Jackson made the delivery, the victim attempted to take a photo of Jackson’s license plate. But the situation escalated when Jackson allegedly saw the victim near his vehicle, and the victim fled to a nearby Valvoline store to avoid a confrontation.

Jackson allegedly followed the man to the Valvoline plant and began kicking the victim’s vehicle, causing more than $1,000 in damage. The victim was able to back up and drive away.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV.

The victim later told police that the man who attacked his vehicle was driving a Krispy Kreme delivery truck.

Investigators contacted management at the Shively Krispy Kreme and received the information about Jackson. Arrest documents state the manager told police the employee had similar road rage incidents that had been reported in the past.

The arrest documents do not make clear why it took nearly a year to arrest Jackson, or whether he still works at Shively Krispy Kreme.

Jackson is now being held in Metro jails, charged with one count of first-degree criminal mischief.
