Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Al Nahyan to visit India on September 9-10 at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, will land in New Delhi on Sunday for a two-day inaugural visit to India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Making the announcement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the UAE leader’s visit would further strengthen ties between the two countries and open avenues of partnership in new and emerging areas.

“At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will pay an official visit to India on September 9-10,” the MEA was quoted as saying. PTI news agency.

Several UAE government ministers and a trade delegation will accompany the crown prince, the MEA said.

Prime Minister Modi and Crown Prince Nahyan will hold talks on Sunday on a range of issues of bilateral cooperation.

“India and the UAE share historically close and friendly ties. In recent years, the India-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership has deepened across a wide range of areas including politics, trade, investment, connectivity, energy, technology, education and culture,” the MEA statement added.

The two leaders are also expected to discuss the general situation in West Asia following the war between Israel and Hamas.

India and the UAE are among each other’s top trading partners, with bilateral trade reaching $85 billion in 2022-23, according to official data.

The UAE is also among the top investors in India in terms of foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2022-23.

According to an official statement, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi is expected to land in New Delhi at 5 pm on Sunday, September 8. On Monday, September 9, Crown Prince Nahyan will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at around 11:15 am in New Delhi.

The UAE leader is also expected to lay a wreath at Rajghat on Monday afternoon and then call on President Droupadi Murmu at 3:30 pm the same day.

The following day, September 10, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will depart for Mumbai, where he will attend an event before leaving for the United Arab Emirates.
