Three injured in Ukrainian shelling in Russia’s Belgorod region

Three civilians were injured when Ukrainian shells hit the town of Shebekino in Russia’s Belgorod region, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Saturday.

Paramedics transported a woman in serious condition with shrapnel wounds to her back and thigh, and a man with shrapnel wounds to his chest, to the regional clinical hospital. A third person was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds to his thigh.

Two houses and four outbuildings also caught fire as a result of the shelling. Belgorod has been a frequent target of shelling and drone attacks from Ukraine throughout the war, particularly after a cross-border attack last month.
