Rex Orange County Announces Two Additional Dates For Upcoming Sold-Out London Palladium Residency – Music News

Following the release of his fifth album, The Alexander Technique, Rex Orange County have announced two additional dates for their upcoming sold-out residency at the London Palladium this February. Tickets are on sale now.

Rex will perform at the London Palladium on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd February 2025 to conclude his residency at the famous theatre. Next month, Rex will embark on a headlining tour across North America, during which he has designed a theatrical show that will see him bring the Alexander Technique to life across multiple performances at iconic venues in almost every market on the tour – you can find the full tour dates below.

The Alexander Technique is Rex’s freest work to date, produced entirely by Rex himself alongside Teo Halm (Rosalía, SZA, Beyoncé) and Jim Reed, the latter a member of the Rex Orange County touring band since its inception.

The Alexander Technique is named after a therapeutic practice that involves treating back pain as a way to address deeper health issues. It’s an apt name for Rex’s rawest album to date: what may have started as a simple exercise in changing the scope of his songwriting has ended up being his most confessional and open-ended album. Stripping his sound down to a skeletal mix of stream-of-consciousness R&B and indie folk, while retaining the orchestral richness that has become his trademark, The Alexander Technique marks the start of the second act of Rex’s Orange County career: a new chapter in which he lays it all bare, no matter how painful. The album also includes the astonishing “Look Me In The Eyes” featuring fellow English musician James Blake, who produced the track.
