“It’s hard to believe that Beacon Jams happened three years ago,” Anastasio said in an open letter earlier this year. “I remember the deep feelings of gratitude when so many people came together and generously supported the cause of addiction recovery. It was humbling and awe-inspiring. I feel the same way today as Divided Sky Residential Rehab opens its doors. It’s been a journey with many twists and turns since the last note of Beacon Jams in November 2020. … We’ve been fortunate to partner with leaders in the Phellowship and sober music communities, as well as other skilled professionals who volunteer their time to help us grow our technology and community outreach.”

“Not everyone who struggles with addiction needs full-scale medical intervention,” Anastasio continued at the time, “and even those who do need medical detox often need a place to go after that, to continue their healing. Divided Sky provides that supportive place where clients can relax and get sober, surrounded by a community filled with love and hope. … We keep it affordable, with scholarships available for those who need them, and we make sure no one is turned away due to their inability to pay. And now we’re seeing the results. I hear stories regularly from people who have successfully completed the program and believe in our approach. It’s so incredibly rewarding. To every single person who has been through this program, I want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey, and none of it would have been possible without all of you.”

He added: “I want to end with the most important message of all. If you or a loved one is in a cycle of alcoholism or drug addiction that you see no way out of and it seems like there is no hope, I promise you that you CAN stop taking drugs and drinking. There is a beautiful life waiting for you and it is available to everyone.”
