Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie delivered a damning critique of Donald Trump’s debate performance Tuesday night.

Speaking on ABC, the network hosting the debate, shortly after the first meeting between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris ended, Christie said the former president was “not prepared” for the debate.

Christie, a two-term Republican governor and presidential candidate, has been a vocal critic of Trump in recent years.

Christie reportedly offered debate advice to Harris and said earlier this year that he would not vote for the one-term president this time around.

In his remarks on ABC, Christie said that “whoever prepared the debate for Donald Trump should be fired” and called Trump’s embarrassing remarks about people eating pets and the size of crowds at his rallies “a huge failure.”

In his final assessment, Christie said: “Trump better get to work or he’s going to lose this election.”
