A Jane’s Addiction concert ended in chaos after singer Perry Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro.

On Friday, September 13, the band was performing at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston when an altercation between the two band members broke out during a performance of “Ocean Size” from the band’s 1988 album. Nothing is shocking.

In a video of the incident posted to YouTube, Farrell, 65, appeared agitated as he repeated what appeared to be a chant to the audience, before turning to Navarro, 57, who was playing guitar, and repeating it back to him.

Farrell then appeared to yell “fuck you!” as he shouldered his collaborator, who put his arm against the lead singer’s chest in what appeared to be an attempt to restrain him. Farrell then punched Navarro.

Several people then rushed the stage to subdue Farrell, and Navarro was later seen removing his guitar and placing it on the floor as the venue’s lights went out, causing the concert to end abruptly.

Representatives for Farrell and Navarro, as well as Live Nation, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Footage of the incident was also shared on X (formerly Twitter) by another attendee, who wrote in his caption: “Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro got into a fight and the show ended.”

“I was there. The crowd was bewildered. Half surprised that the show ended early and half excited that we may have seen the last Jane A show ever,” another fan wrote on the social platform.

The shocking moment between Farrell and Navarro came during the band’s current North American tour, which kicked off Aug. 9 in Las Vegas and, for the first time since 2010, features their classic lineup of Farrell, Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery.

After the onstage brawl, Avery, Perkins and Navarro returned to the stage to say goodbye to the crowd, making peace signs, waving and patting their hearts, Varietyreported.
