A small single-engine plane crashed at the end of a runway at BWI Airport

A small, single-engine plane crashed Saturday afternoon at the end of the general aviation runway at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, airport officials said.

BWI communications director Jonathan Dean said three people were on board the plane but were not seriously injured.

The crash did not impact the airline’s operations and the Federal Aviation Administration has been notified, the official said.

No information regarding the potential cause of the accident has been shared at this time.
