After Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested by federal agents in New York, the charges against him being revealed after the indictment was unsealed. The rapper is facing legal troubles stemming from the sex trafficking investigation that the Department of Homeland Security placed him under earlier this year. During Diddy’s recent court appearance in New York, prosecutors cited several allegations against him, including the forced “freak offs” he allegedly forced his victims to perform.

What are “Freak Offs”?

According to NBC News, prosecutors cited the “Freak Offs” as one of the coercive acts orchestrated by Diddy. The term refers to sexual acts that Combs allegedly recorded for his viewing pleasure. According to court documents seen by the outlet, Diddy was accused of using “sensitive, embarrassing and compromising recordings he made during the Freak Offs as collateral to ensure the victims’ continued compliance and silence.”

Prosecutors also alleged that one specific “Freak Off” ended up costing Combs more than $46,000 “to cover damages to a penthouse” in 2012.

“The defendant staged Freak Offs with the assistance of Enterprise members and associates, including employees of his company, and the hotel rooms where they were staged often sustained significant damage,” prosecutors said, according to the outlet.

Federal raids on Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles also uncovered “various Freak Off supplies, including narcotics and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant,” according to NBC.

What was Diddy accused of?

Combs was charged with three counts of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation for the purpose of prostitution.

Is Sean “Diddy” Combs in Jail?

After his arrest by federal agents, Diddy was reportedly taken into the custody of the Department of Homeland Security Investigations. According to NBC, Combs reportedly offered to post $50 million bail to be released. He also reportedly offered to wear a GPS device. However, the prosecution is reportedly asking the judge to deny Combs bail.
