The state fire marshal has offered a reward for information on an arson in Preble County.

As reported Monday on News Center 7am to 5pm, Two campers were destroyed by fire, and a dog was sent to an emergency veterinarian in critical condition.

The first fire occurred around 5:44 p.m. Friday afternoon in Buck Rub Cover while the second broke out in Antler Cove at 9:30 p.m.

The state fire marshal ruled both fires were caused by arson.

The FBI is working with the state fire marshal’s office to determine who started the two fires.

A $5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

The City of Eaton, Gasper Township, Milford Township, Gratis Township and the Shawnee Fire District are providing assistance.
