Anniversary of high-profile murder case at UF

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Today marks eight years since the disappearance of UF student Christian Aguilar, who was murdered following a love triangle gone wrong.

In 2012, Pedro Bravo killed Aguilar in a crime of rage and passion, then buried his former friend’s body in a shallow grave in Levy County.

Aguilar was dating Bravo’s former girlfriend Erika Friman but kept the relationship under wraps, according to ABC News.

After discovering this, Bravo abandoned all friendship with Aguilar and killed him by poisoning and strangling him.
