Josh Heupel talks adjusting to Oklahoma’s quarterback change at halftime

With Oklahoma bench Jackson Arnold and turning to a true freshman quarterback Michael Hawkins just before half-time, Tennessee and head coach Josh Heupel will probably have to adapt. And Heupel does not rule out seeing Arnold a little more in the second half.

With Hawkins playing a late-half series, it’s possible Arnold could start again in the second half. Either way, Heupel will try to prepare his team for both.

“Be prepared for either one,” Heupel told ESPN’s reporter. Holly Rowe “They both have the ability to run, so we have to do a good job of playing some tough, physical football here in the second half.”

By halftime, Arnold had completed 7 of 16 passes for 54 yards and an interception.
