The Eagles’ offense is struggling.

Right tackle Lane Johnson, offensive guard Mekhi Becton and wide receiver Britain Covey were all injured in the second quarter Sunday against the New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Becton, who returned to the locker room after suffering a finger injury, is not certain to return. Late in the second quarter, he returned to the sideline and had his hand taped. Sophomore guard Tyler Steen played the final drives of the second half in Becton’s place.

Steen lost his starting right guard job to Becton during training camp. As a rookie, he started just one game last season.

The Eagles signed Becton to a one-year contract in May. He then moved from tackle to guard this summer.

According to Fox Sports, Johnson vomited on the sideline and is being evaluated for a concussion. Eagles head safety Dom DiSandro helped him leave the locker room. Fred Johnson replaced Johnson at right tackle.

Covey’s return from a shoulder injury is uncertain, according to the team. The Eagles’ receiver depth is a concern because AJ Brown was already out with a hamstring injury, so they couldn’t afford to lose more players. DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, Johnny Wilson and Parris Campbell are the only healthy receivers available.
