Justice Drop Anime Music Video for Tame Impala Featuring the Song “Neverender”

Justice paired his song “Neverender” with Tame Impala, a hit track from the French duo’s latest LP Hyperdramawith a new video inspired by 80s anime.

Directed by Masanobu Hiraoka with longtime Justice collaborators Pascal Teixeira and Armand Beraud, the visuals for “Neverender” also draw inspiration from the psychedelic works of legendary French artist Moebius.

“The music video for ‘The Neverender’ gave us the perfect opportunity to channel many of our visual influences, while making them more distinctive through Masanobu Hiraoka’s unique reinterpretation,” Justice said in a statement.

“We took inspiration from the opening credits of the 1980s anime that we grew up on, and that set the visual tone for the video. From there, other key images from our teenage years naturally came into play. Whether it was the work of Moebius, psychedelic art, graphic novels, or iconic movie posters that fascinated us, Masanobu’s style absorbed and seamlessly unified them all.”

The new video comes just days before Justice releases a digital EP dedicated to “Neverender,” featuring new remixes of the track by Kaytranada and Keinemusik’s Rampa, as well as an extended version of the song.
