WACO, TX (KWTX) –

Welcome, my friends, to the spookiest time of the year. No, not Halloween! Something much more sinister and menacing. Like an ever-watchful darkness waiting over your shoulder. Patiently until the day it UNDERSTANDS YOU! That’s right! This is the most horrible thing of all! The onslaught of the fall game release. My name is Andrew Hamilton and it’s time to gather around the campfire as I tell you a story of hills that don’t make a sound and omnidirectional diving action heroes in the October edition of The Download.

Silent Hill 2:

Before there were a million horror games a year, gamers only had a few solid options to choose from. Resident Evil and Silent Hill were the two best, but while Resident Evil would find new undead life, Silent Hill fell off the face of the planet for about 9 years. Now, 23 years after the original, players can finally return to the world of Silent Hill…2. The Bloober developer team takes on the daunting task of remaking and modernizing one of gaming’s earliest cult classics. Just like in the original game, players will follow widower James Sunderland as he returns to the eponymous town of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his late wife, Mary, who claims to be waiting for him there. Uncover the truth with updated gameplay mechanics, new combat twists, and a beautifully remade soundtrack. Enter the fog when Silent Hill 2 Remake releases on October 2 for PlayStation 5 and PC.

After a traumatic encounter with dark forces, our hero Alba finds herself linked to a little wolf cub. Now the two men must move forward together and overcome increasingly dangerous situations. As you grow, the young wolf will also grow alongside Alba. Help the duo survive in a decaying world when Neva launches October 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

On the multiplayer side, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has completely redefined its movement system with omnidirectional controls, meaning you can strafe, sprint, and dive in any direction.
