Who is Gaurav Taneja? All About the Flying Beast of an Indian YouTuber Caught in Cheating and Divorce Rumors

Gaurav Taneja, a popular YouTuber known by his internet nickname Flying Beast, and Ritu Rathee, Airbus A320 captain, are currently going through a difficult time in their marriage. Taneja and Rathee addressed this phase of alleged cheating and divorce rumors on their respective Instagram accounts, expressing “hope” that things will be sorted out soon. They have also requested privacy as they navigate this difficult time.

Who is Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast?

Gaurav Taneja is a 38-year-old YouTuber from Kanpur and has been living in Delhi for a while now. Taneja, who reportedly attended Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, holds a bachelor’s degree from IIT Kharagpur. He is married to Ritu Rathee and they have two daughters, Kiara and Pihu.

He started his career with Gurugram-based airline IndiGo, where he served as both a first officer and captain. Flying Beast later joined Malaysian airline AirAsia as a pilot, but was suspended for “advocating the safe operations of an aircraft and its passengers.”

In response to his suspension, Taneja shared a video titled “Reasons behind suspending my job as a pilot” on YouTube. In it, he details how the airline was compromising passenger safety to save fuel. He alleged that AirAsia instructed its pilots to perform 98 percent of landings in “Flap 3” mode, a practice designed to save fuel. Following his claims, an investigation was launched and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) suspended two senior AirAsia India executives for three months.

Taneja is also a certified nutritionist and professional bodybuilder who creates fitness and nutrition related content on YouTube. He currently runs three YouTube channels: ‘Flying Beast’, ‘Fit Muscle TV’ and ‘Rasbhari Ke Papa’.

Taneja has an impressive online presence, boasting millions of followers, including 3.7 million on her Instagram account alone.
