Zara McDermott announces her next TV project with the BBC

Zara McDermott has announced her next television project with the BBC, a documentary titled Hunted.

THE love island And Made in Chelsea The star-turned-filmmaker will explore the issue of stalking in this new two-part series, as reports indicate the crime is on the rise.

Zara will meet people who are currently victims of stalkers and show them how it affects their daily lives. She will also spend time with the police force and get a first-hand look at the process when stalking is reported, and shed light on why conviction rates remain so low.

“Like many others, I know people who have been victims of stalking,” Zara said in a press release. “I really want to witness the real impact of stalking on people’s lives as they deal with the stress, fear and the process of reporting these crimes to the police.

“I want to think about what can be done to support them and bring their harassers to justice.”

Nasfim Haque, head of content at BBC Three, added: “Due to the highly sensitive nature of these cases, Zara and the small production team are approaching the upcoming filming process with extreme caution and discretion.

“Over an extended filming period (10 months), they work closely with charities and advocates to shine a light on how this increasingly prevalent behavior affects young people today.”

His previous documentaries include Revenge porn, Discovering rape culture, Disordered eatingAnd The Idaho Murders: Trial by TikTok.

A release window for two 45-minute episodes of Zara McDermott: hunted will be announced in due course. It will be broadcast on BBC Three and streamed on iPlayer.
