Jake Paul sent brutal five-word message to Mike Tyson before the showdown | Boxing | Sport

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has been handed a stern warning ahead of his highly anticipated clash with boxing icon and former world champion Mike Tyson later this year. He was told that if the fight took place today, then “Jake Paul would be done.”

The two men were originally scheduled to face each other in July, but Tyson had to withdraw due to an inflamed ulcer, interrupting his training on medical advice. However, the legendary boxer is back in training and confident he will be ready to fight for next month’s encounter.

The rescheduled mega-fight is now scheduled for Friday, November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, potentially drawing a crowd of 90,000 spectators. Tyson last fought professionally in 2005, succumbing to Kevin McBride, and his last appearance came in a behind-closed-doors exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

Meanwhile, Paul, 27, picked up a victory over former UFC fighter Mike Perry last July.

Tyson’s camp has stepped up the pre-fight banter, with a promotional video showing a team member declaring: “We’re not looking to drop one bomb. We want to drop missile after missile.”

A trainer from Tyson’s corner warned that Paul would find himself in serious trouble if the fight were to take place immediately, saying: “If the fight took place today, Jake Paul would be done,” adding that Tyson is not content to launch simple attacks, but unleashes a relentless barrage.

Concerns about Tyson’s fitness have intensified after his recent admission: “It’s hard to walk right now. But in two months I’ll be perfect. The fight is won in the gym. Look, I’ll do whatever can help.” Me. I’m going to enjoy my time here tonight with all my childhood friends, and Jake Paul be damned.

On Jimmy Kimmel’s show, ‘Iron Mike’ revealed his rigorous training regime, saying: “I train extremely hard, I do six hours a day. I start at 11 a.m. and I might leave the gym at 5 p.m.,” Kimmel asked in surprise, “Oh no. So it’s six hours straight, or is there a lunch break? leaving Kimmel astonished as he exclaimed, “Oh no.”

Adding to the controversy, Tyson could face suspension from the sport if he tests positive for a banned substance, after admitting he might indulge in cannabis before the fight. In the same conversation with Kimmel, when asked if he would be high during the fight, Tyson replied, “I’m going to be so high in life, yeah.”

Going further, Kimmel asked, “Will you also use marijuana?” ” To which Tyson admitted: “That’s also a possibility. »

This revelation led Kimmel to joke, “Oh no, my bet is getting smaller as we talk.”

Tyson’s controversial claims that he considered smoking marijuana before his fight with ‘The Problem Child’ have raised questions about the seriousness of his intentions. Such action could have serious consequences, as the Texas Commission bans these substances.

If Tyson or a fighter tested positive, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) warns: “If either fighter tested positive for a banned substance, we would open a complaint, suspend them from 90 days and if the fighter was victorious, the decision would be changed to a no decision due to a rules violation.
