After a cancellation that dampened last year’s holiday cheer, Holidazzle organizers are bringing it back in 2024.

Early Thursday morning, officials wrote that the 2024 event — which is free and open to the public — would take place at Nicollet Mall, a year after it was canceled due to a lack of funding.

The Downtown Council says one of the goals is to bring people together downtown and also support small businesses while having fun.

This year, the festival will span about five blocks, from 6th Street to Peavey Plaza. There will be Christmas lights to wander around, live entertainment, roller skating, mini golf, Christmas shopping, food trucks and of course, Santa. New this year will be a private event space for rent called Holidazzle Hospitality Hub, which organizers say is perfect for hosting a holiday party for 50 to 1,000 guests.

There are also passes that can be purchased beginning November 1 that include valet parking, a Santa “fast pass,” access to indoor restrooms and a limited-edition souvenir. Event organizers add that passes are partially tax deductible.

Holidayzzle 2024 will take place from December 18 to 22. The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the 18th, 19th and 20th. Meanwhile, it will last from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the 21st and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the 22nd.
