Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff allegedly slapped his ex for flirting with another man: report

Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff is accused of slapping an ex-girlfriend following a drunken argument in Cannes, France, in 2012, three of the alleged victim’s friends told the Daily Mail on Wednesday .

The Second Gentleman – who has been married to Harris since 2014 – allegedly punched his then-girlfriend who was waiting in a queue at the Cannes Film Festival due to an argument over her flirting with another man.

A friend of the woman, identified as “Jane” by the Daily Mail, claimed his friend called him shortly after the incident to tell him what allegedly happened.

Jane reportedly explained at the time that she approached a valet to give him 100 euros to get to the front of the queue and put her hand on his shoulder, which allegedly triggered Emhoff.

“Doug apparently thought she was flirting and came over to slap her in the face,” the source told the outlet.

The friend said Jane was allegedly “sobbing” on the other line, making the anonymous source “furious” thinking about what allegedly happened.

“What she told me was very clear. She said she was with a guy, her date, that she was at the Cannes Film Festival, and he hit her,” he added.

A second friend, who claimed Jane also told him about the alleged incident, further described how Emhoff’s ex was blindsided by what allegedly took place.

“She said he turned her around by her right shoulder and she was completely caught off guard,” the source said. “He picked her up and slapped her so hard she turned around. She said she was in complete shock.

The second friend claimed that a “furious” Jane fought back, noting that she “slapped him on one side, then the other cheek with the other hand.”

A third friend, who also claimed to be aware of the alleged incident, told the Daily Mail that he did not know whether what Emhoff allegedly did was an “aggressive slap or a punch”, but that it was enough for Jane to “never forget” and want to end the relationship “immediately”,

Jane’s friends told the Daily Mail that she wanted to leave without Emhoff and return to the hotel “without him” when he allegedly attacked her, but he allegedly “forced” herself into her car.

The first friend claimed Jane asked her then-boyfriend “what was that about?”, referring to the alleged slap, and he allegedly responded by saying he thought “she hit the valet.”

“(Jane) told me she was so embarrassed,” the friend told the Daily Mail. “She couldn’t believe he was the person he was and it turned into this trashy moment in the trailer.

“She realized it was bad news. It was the first time she saw his ugly side.

The third friend, said to be a senior female executive, said Jane was “a beautiful, strong woman and you would never expect anyone to hit her”.

She also claimed that Emhoff never apologized to Jane and instead allegedly made a tennis joke the next day about how she retaliated, saying, “‘Don’t worry, you got one on the ground and all along the line.'”

The third friend said he perceived the comment to mean the couple were “now even”.

Photos of Jane – who is a New York-based lawyer who has reportedly always been a Democrat – spending time with the Second Gentlemen were provided to the Daily Mail as further evidence of their past romance. However, the relationship reportedly only lasted three months.

Jane reportedly met Emhoff on Match.com while he was divorcing his first wife, Kerstin Emhoff, with whom he shares son Cole, 29, and daughter Ella, 25.

Jane reportedly told her friends that she thought Doug had “love bombed” her, as he introduced her to his parents and children and took her on lavish trips early on.

It was also a red flag that he cheated on Kerstin with a nanny, which the Second Gentleman recently admitted in a statement to CNN.

“In my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some difficult times because of my actions,” he told the outlet in August.

“I took responsibility, and over the years that followed, we worked through things as a family and came out stronger on the other side.”

One of Jane’s friends told the Daily Mail of Doug: “He presents himself as something he absolutely is not. And that’s bullshit. I feel like people should know who their leaders really are.
