Hannah and Nick react to the Duck episode

(Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for love is blind Season 7, episodes 1-6.)

Have you ever had the disease? Hannah Jiles certainly did. And it was the same Monica Davis. In fact, it might just be part of the female experience.

Nick Dorka knows it too now, after that duck moment on Cabo beach in episode 5 of love is blind Season 7. While blundering, he spotted a toy duck on the beach. He decided to go with another swimmer. Hannah didn’t like ducks as much as Nick. TV Insider spoke with Nick and Hannah about what happened in Cabo.

“It’s something that I do, and so if you want to accept me as a partner, I sometimes do stupid stuff like that and it was light,” Nick told TV Insider. He still doesn’t understand what the problem was. “I didn’t think it was that deep,” he added. However, he acknowledged Hannah’s perspective on things and said he “couldn’t handle it a little differently, but I was just having fun.”

In his defense, he asked Hannah to join him, but he wasn’t interested in the venture. Luckily for him, another person wanted to join his invented game. Out of the blue, a lady dressed in a mismatched bikini approached him to participate in his “competition.” She was not affiliated with love is blind. She was just vacationing at the same resort.

This woman then made the experience worse by making fun of the situation and calling out Hannah. “Oh, she’s jealous.” Don’t be jealous,’ the woman said, before pointing at Hannah in a sassy way and repeating the sentiment: ‘Don’t be jealous, woman.’ She then went on to win the duck race decided just minutes before, and she jumped up to talk to Nick more.

Hannah wasn’t shy about expressing how she felt about Nick riding the duck. She told him it “disgusted” her. “I think sometimes I’m definitely someone who does things before I speak, or doesn’t sit down and think about them before I say them,” Hannah told TV Insider.

In episode 6, Hannah admitted that she “felt very disrespected” by Nick and the woman who made fun of her during the duck incident. “I’m someone who addresses things, so I said what I said,” Hannah noted.
