Dan Le Batard flips Craig Carton’s script with an aggressive impression

FS1’s Craig Carton offered a less than complimentary assessment of the Miami Dolphins on Breakfast Ball this week, pointing out that supposed offensive wunderkind Mike McDaniel has struggled mightily without Tua Tagovailoa. It was the reddest speech in sports and, honestly, it gave people a lot of food for thought.

This morning, Dan Le Batard offered a sort of response to the segment by turning the tables on Carton and using the same model. Which is not really surprising because The Dan Le Batard show with Stugotz is a fiercely Miami show and only they can say those kinds of things about their team!

What was a little surprising was that along the way, Le Batard called Carton “perhaps the most overrated broadcaster in the history of broadcasting” and referenced the 42 months that Carton was served in a minimum security federal prison for fraud.

It is also surprising that Le Batard did it again to try to keep up with Carton’s pace correctly.

It’s worth noting that later in the show, Le Batard clarified that his criticism was more about the industry that continued to give Carton high-profile gigs and not about Carton himself, but that’s not not the social clip that everyone is going to see.

And time will tell if Carton’s initial point that dolphin season was dead in the water is accurate. At this point, that certainly seems to be the case.
