Judge revokes bail for man charged with murder, attempted murder on Christmas Eve

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A judge revoked the bond today for a Mobile man accused of murder.

Mobile County District Judge Jennifer Wright determined that Haratio Stewart violated his bail conditions by going to places he was not authorized to go.

Stewart’s lawyer argued that his client had permission from the company that monitored his movements with an electronic ankle device.

Stewart is charged with murder and attempted murder in connection with a shooting at the Maison de Ville apartment complex on Christmas Eve last year. The shooting left 20-year-old Jabyron Nettles dead and Nettles’ girlfriend Jelaysia Smith injured. Nettles was shot while sitting in his car at the apartment complex. Smith was also hit by seven bullets.

The case is awaiting a grand jury’s decision on whether to indict.
