As a musician, Glover goes by the nickname Childish Gambino. During an interview on The Tonight Show with Fallon in 2011, he revealed that the nickname came from a Wu-Tang Clan name generator. Currently, Glover is touring the United States…well, not anymore, unfortunately. Here’s how the story goes.

Donald Glover cancels several tours due to surgery

THE Atlanta The actor recently toured the United States after releasing his latest album, Bando Stone and the New Worldwhich will be his last album under the stage name Childish Gambino. However, after a performance in New Orleans, an apparent ailment alarmed Donald Glover.

He eventually released a statement via X explaining why he chose to cancel the remaining dates of the US tour. He said,

After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to check on something that had become apparent. After being evaluated, it became clear that I would not be performing that night, and after further testing, I would not be able to make the remainder of the US tour in the requested time.

Glover also said he needed surgery to fix the problem and wanted to take the recovery time very seriously. He finally dropped the ball to fans by claiming that all planned tour dates were canceled.

He also personally asked his fans to give him the privacy and support he needs. However, that didn’t stop fans from telling stories on social media.

Fans Believe Donald Glover Has Canceled Future Tour Dates Due to COVID-19

After the American rapper revealed the unfortunate news, fans immediately took to X to criticize him for canceling his upcoming concerts. Needless to say, some of them didn’t hold back what they said.

Some fans went so far as to accuse him of having COVID-19, claiming he lied about it because Live Nation, an entertainment company, banned artists from acknowledging COVID-19. A few other fans also defended the five-time Grammy Award winner. Here’s what they had to say:

Unless Glover’s condition is so serious that he requires surgery, it certainly wouldn’t make sense for him to cancel all the tour dates that are scattered over the next few months, as it may probably recover from the virus pretty quickly these days. .

But above all it seems that Donald Glover suffers from a physical illness which requires treatment. And regarding Live Nation asking artists not to acknowledge COVID-19, the company denied those claims via X in August.

Having canceled his tours of North America, the UK and Europe, Glover says fans will have their ticket money refunded at the time of purchase.
