Capitol Police investigate pro-Palestinian image spray-painted on anniversary of Hamas attack

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – Capitol Police say a state employee found a red spray-painted image on the sidewalk between the State Capitol and the Legislative Office Building.

They say the incident happened around 3 a.m.

The message read: “Liberate Palestine. Bring the war home.

The message, which was spray painted to mark the first anniversary of the Hamas attack on October 7, has been removed but the red paint is still visible.

Police will not release the image because they say it is under investigation.
