Amanda Owen’s transformation at our Yorkshire Farm shocks viewers on TV return | TV and Radio | Showbiz and TV

Amanda Owen returned to TV after more than two years away this week and viewers were immediately shocked by the mother-of-nine’s radical transformation.

The Yorkshire shepherd rose to fame as the matriarch of Channel 5’s surprise hit Our Yorkshire Farm, which showed the realities of life on a farm in the remote Yorkshire Dales.

Amanda, along with her husband Clive Owen (now separated), and their brood of nine children, from little Clemmie, Edith and Annas to Reuben and Raven, have all become famous in their own right as the show brought the challenges of Ravenseat to a wide audience.

The show was axed following Amanda and Clive’s split in 2022, but now the whole family has returned in new Channel 4 series Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids.

And in the first episode, viewers were surprised by how ‘gorgeous’ Amanda Owen looked after a radical transformation in her time off-screen.

Fans of the family said that Amanda lost weight and that the children also grew.

@heragkop said: “Amanda must burn more calories per day than an Olympic athlete. She must run/walk/lift the equivalent of a decathlete every day.”

@katiewebb62 said: “Watched it tonight and it was absolutely brilliant, it was a pleasure to see you and your beautiful family back. Amanda, you are very beautiful and full of interesting wisdom.”

@lauramay69 said: “So happy to see you all. I waited a long time for this. Amanda looks incredible.”

@hammondmargitta said: “Loved tonight’s episode. Amanda did well in explaining her and Clive, which got the new series off to a good start. I think Amanda has lost a lot of weight, but given the circumstances it’s no wonder. I’m sure it will be a great watch and I wish the Owen family well.”

@bob.bell710 said: “the last few months/years have taken that away from Amanda, of course, it’s going to be a great series to see how they restore the house and delve deeper into the story, it’s good to see them all involved in the project and that there’s still chemistry between Amanda and Clive. Next episode please.”

The series will chart the family’s progress in rebuilding Anty John’s, an old farmhouse that Amanda and Clive hope to turn into a permanent home for their family despite being separated.

Viewers saw Amanda consult with builders, Reuben excavate and a historian unearth the legacy of the building’s importance in the Ravenseat area.
