Jadon Sancho shares powerful first message after becoming Champions League finalist with Borussia Dortmund

Manchester United misfit Jadon Sancho dropped a poignant first message after German club Borussia Dortmund punched their ticket to the Champions League final.

Borussia Dortmund took control of their Champions League destiny in the semi-finals after beating Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the first leg at the Westfalenstadion.

Jadon Sancho, who signed on loan for Dortmund in January, was widely praised for his impressive performance in the semi-final first leg earlier this month.

Dortmund traveled to the Parc des Princes on Tuesday and Edin Terzic’s men secured another big result in the evening in Paris.

Mats Hummels scored in the second half against PSG, with the reigning Ligue 1 champions unable to get into the contest against Dortmund.

Dortmund travel to Wembley on June 1 and face either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

Man Utd winger Sancho sends message

Jadon Sancho’s club future looked bleak in 2023 after he was left out of Manchester United’s first team following his split with Erik ten Hag.

The 24-year-old United winger reportedly refused to apologize to Ten Hag after he hit back in an explosive statement on social media last September.

Ten Hag had publicly criticized Sancho after the United boss revealed why the Borussia Dortmund player failed to make his squad for the Arsenal game.

Fast forward to 2024 and Sancho was given a lifeline away from Old Trafford when former club Dortmund signed him on a six-month loan deal.

Sancho took to Instagram after the Champions League semi-final second leg and the former England international couldn’t contain his excitement.

He wrote: “Champions League Final (sic)! Wow wow wow, Amazing! (Borussia Dortmund) WEMBLEY HERE WE COME!

Rio Ferdinand on the future of Sancho and Man Utd

Sancho has made 12 Bundesliga appearances since returning to Germany and has scored twice and registered two assists for Dortmund in the league.

The former Three Lions winger’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain and United are believed to be keen to recoup as much transfer fee for him as possible.

Rio Ferdinand believes the only way Sancho can continue his future at United is if Ten Hag is no longer the Red Devils manager.

“He’s in good form and needs to follow up and then he really puts pressure on Manchester United,” he said on TNT Sports, according to the Daily Mail.

“People behind the scenes, Ineos, will wonder why this isn’t happening with a United shirt. I think the only way he can come back is if Erik Ten Hag isn’t here.

“I don’t think they can undermine the manager without an apology, I think the manager needs to go for Sancho to return to Manchester United.”
