Clarkston man arrested after trying to elude police during traffic stop

CLARKSTON – On May 8, 2024, Britton Hanson, 42, was arrested after attempting to escape a traffic stop. Asotin County Deputy Conley initiated the stop after identifying Hanson, who had an active arrest warrant from Asotin County for felony stalking.

Hanson attempted to escape by driving erratically and his vehicle ultimately stalled at the intersection of Libby and Van Arsdol. He then fled on foot but was apprehended by Deputy Conley with the assistance of the Quad Cities Drug Task Force and the Clarkston Police Department. The arrest took place in the 1100 block of 15th Street.

Hanson was taken to the Asotin County Jail where he faces charges related to the felony stalking warrant and evading a traffic stop.
