Mother’s Day 2024: Kajol’s message for Tanuja

On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Kajol shared a personalized message for her mother and veteran actor Tanuja. Kajol shared an adorable photo in which she and Tanuja can be seen posing for the cameras with their big smiles. Kajol wrote in the caption, “Weird moms build character!” At least that’s what I heard… don’t worry mom.. I will continue our happy tradition. And of course, the tradition of laughing out loud at jokes that only you and I understand.” Designer Manish Malhotra, who is a good friend of Kajol, posted a series of heart emojis in the comments section. On Tanuja’s 80th birthday, Kajol shared a video message. She can be heard saying, “Happy Happy 80th Birthday Mom. I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve taught me by example and continue to do so. On Teachers’ Day (last year), Kajol shared a video montage of her interviews (given at different times) in which she spoke about her mother (Tanuja), grandmother (Shobhna Samarth) and her great-grandmother (Rattan Bai) and how they influenced her life. Kajol wrote in the caption, “I was raised in a village. A village full of strong, cool women. I learned by example, not by being preached to. And I can’t thank all my teachers. The good ones and the bad ones and the ones in between.
