Longtime Bloomington restaurant announces it will become delivery-only

On Tuesday, May 7, the family that owns the Irish Lion Restaurant and Pub in Bloomington sent out social media posts informing customers that the downtown eatery would be closing since its owner had retired.

“Rest assured, pub favorites will still be available after two weeks and throughout the summer as the Irish Lion moves to a delivery-only service, from May 22 at the latest. When will the Irish Lion close and reopen?

The restaurant at 212 W. Kirkwood Ave. will be open until May 17, but hours and days of operation are subject to change. Customers should check the restaurant’s website, www.irishlion.com, for the most up-to-date information and expect walk-in seating only.
