EMMERDALE viewers think they made a big mistake when the identity of Ethan Anderson’s attacker was revealed.

A bloodied Ethan was following seen tripping at the Emmerdale village fete, alarming his fellow townspeople gathered there.

His father Charles (Kevin Mathurin) and General practitioner Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) rushed to help him even though Ethan insisted he was fine.

However, exactly how Ethan managed to walk to the party despite his serious injuries has left viewers confused.

On X (formerly Twitter), they shared their notice on the dramatic turn of events.

One user wrote: “It’s a miracle Ethan came back half dead. Almost as good as Chloe“It’s surviving a car accident.”

Another wrote: “So he gets seriously injured on the road, he doesn’t move, but then he manages to get up and walk back to the village?

“Maybe he’s infected with a zombie virus and it’s going to spread now?” This new scenario? In fact, this could be an exciting event in the village.

A third commented: “Ethan did well walking back to the village in the middle of a country lane in the middle of nowhere. Fair play.”

As the episode continued, viewers tried to figure out who the mystery person was who knocked Ethan over.

Caleb (William Ash) and Cain (Jeff Hordley) have become major suspects among fans, as has Suni (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana).

Emmerdale hints at who was responsible for Ethan Anderson’s assassination attempt

Ethan’s hit-and-run follows an incident earlier this month, in which Ethan accidentally crashed his car into a tree with Nicky Miligan (Lewis Cope) as a passenger.

After the incident, Ethan panicked and fled the scene, leaving Nicky unconscious.

As it stands, Nicky is fighting for his life in the hospital.

Since Caleb, Cain, and Suni are Nicky’s father, uncle, and boyfriend respectively, it stands to reason that each of them would want revenge on Ethan.

CLEAR MESSAGE TO ETHAN

In the end, however, a mother’s love knows no bounds as it was Caleb’s ex-wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) who was revealed to be the person who overthrew Ethan. .

Ruby wanted Ethan to get a taste of his own medicine after what happened with Nicky.

After Ethan’s hit-and-run in Wednesday’s episode, Ruby then visited him and sternly warned him that she would “finish the job” if her son wasn’t released from the hospital.

Viewers shared their thoughts on this revelation, with one writing: “Oh, so it was Ruby. This is not the end.
