Wall Township Resident Charged After School Football Incident

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – Kelly Davis, a 53-year-old Wall Township resident, has been charged with disorderly conduct and harassment following an incident at a high school football game. The charges were filed on Saturday, Oct. 19, following an altercation at the game between Howell Township and Wall Township on Friday night.

During the postgame, Davis allegedly entered the field and confronted a 17-year-old player from Howell Township. The confrontation led to a disturbance that required police and school security intervention. Witnesses stated that Davis’ behavior was aggressive, causing concern to players, coaches and spectators. Officers and school staff managed the situation and escorted Davis from the scene.

Following the incident, police gathered witness statements to fully understand the event. Consequently, charges were filed against Davis, who is now scheduled to appear in Wall Township Municipal Court. Patrolman John Kelly is the investigating officer in this case.

The Wall Township Police Department has emphasized its commitment to maintaining a safe environment at school events. Davis is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court under United States and New Jersey state laws.
