‘Fool’ Donald Trump Ridiculed by Lincoln Project for Allowing Campaign Chairman Chris LaCivita to Make Million

Donald Trump is being mocked as a “fool” and a “sucker” in a new ad by his Republican haters based on the Daily Beast’s revelations of his campaign manager’s huge payday.

The Lincoln Project’s ad highlights how its campaign manager, Chris LaCivita, is making a fortune as the Republican Party’s presidential nominee.

The attack ad is based on veteran investigative journalist Michael Isikoff’s discovery that LaCivita made $22 million (and counting) in just two years.

“Donald, you are such a sucker”, the ad opens, narrating a woman’s voice. “And you don’t even know it.”

A photo of Trump dancing on stage alongside South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (the self-confessed cruelty dog killer) flashes on the screen, before the narrator asks in disbelief, “Chris LaCivita? Twenty-two million? Are you kidding?”

She notes that Arkansas Republican Tom Cotton paid LaCivita just $38,850 to manage his successful U.S. Senate campaign. To really rub it in Trump’s face, the narrator explains the gross imbalance.

“That’s twenty-one million nine hundred and sixty-one thousand one hundred and fifty dollars less,” she says. “And (Cotton) won in a landslide.”

The ad also mentions another former Trump campaign staffer who made his fortune with the former (and potentially future) president: Brad Parscale, whose lavish spending and lifestyle made the headlines during the 2020 presidential campaign.

“Now another campaign manager sees an idiot and backs up the truck,” says the ad’s narrator, repeating that LaCivita has already raised $22 million.

“A fool and his money. It’s you, Donald,” the ad ends.

Trump is being ridiculed for allowing Chris LaCivita (right), his campaign co-chair, to make $22 million and counting.

LaCivita, through the campaign, denied any wrongdoing regarding the $22 million. Most of it is made up of commissions from money spent on television and digital advertising and voter outreach efforts.

He stated that “the whole story is fabricated nonsense, concocted by talentless crooks,” without denying any of the specific amounts he stands to earn. “Every member of this team, including myself, has been compensated fairly and responsibly, with the priority of electing President Trump at the forefront of every strategic and financial decision we make.

In contrast, the campaign’s other co-director, Susie Wiles, received $685,000 from the campaign through her own consulting firm, with monthly fees ranging between $25,000 and $30,000. Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, Kamala Harris’ campaign manager, receives $13,442 a month, campaign finance records show.

The Lincoln Project’s use of the word “sucker” is particularly charged, given Trump’s furious reaction to revelations that he called fallen troops “suckers and losers.”
