Idaho Supreme Court denies stay of execution of Thomas Creech

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) – The Idaho Supreme Court denied an emergency request to stay the execution of Thomas Creech.

Creech’s lawyers filed the order last week, intending to stay his execution next month until his appeal is “fully developed and finalized.”

The state supreme court denied the request Wednesday, writing in part that his appeal will be heard before his execution date.

Creech’s lawyers have already filed an appeal of Wednesday’s ruling.

Creech is on death row after the murder of a fellow inmate in the 1980s.

His execution date is currently set for November 13th.
