Reaction to Musadik and Kundi’s offer: no negotiations with “Form 47 beneficiaries”: PTI

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has reacted to the offer of dialogue by Petroleum Division Minister and PML-N chief Musadik Malik and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, saying the talks with the beneficiaries of form 47 were in no way acceptable.

PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan, while speaking to reporters, termed the offer of those who have “no authority or credibility” to mediate as ridiculous.

He said those who offered to hold negotiations were “imposed by means of a false and stolen mandate.”

“Domestic criminals do not have the power to make decisions in the interest of the nation and there is no room for reconciliation either,” he adds. He made it clear that he would not hold negotiations with “mandate stealers”, including the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, the Pakistan People’s Party and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan.

“Instead of propagating an offer for talks without authority, this crooked mandate theft should apologize to the nation and return the mandate to real representatives,” he added.

Earlier in the day, Petroleum Division Minister Musadik Malik said there were always open doors in politics and PML-N leaders have always called for reconciliation and dialogue.

“The leadership of our party (PML-N) has always emphasized the need for a charter of economy and democracy,” he said at a press conference.

The minister also stressed that his party wants to move forward with all political forces.

Malik further said that the PTI-led government had put all PML-N leaders, including Khawaja Saad Rafique, Khawaja Asif and Shehbaz, behind bars.

He also lamented the PTI’s “double standards” when it came to dialogue, saying they were not interested in holding talks with the PML-N.

“They (PTI) want to talk to the United States and Donald Lu,” he said.
