However, rents in all of these metro cities are quite high, making affordability very problematic. While Bangalore and Mumbai boast of skyrocketing rents from time to time, any other city with high rents often ends up in the news. One such thing happened when a man took to micro-blogging site X to share that he was paying Rs 64,000 for an apartment he shares with his roommates in Noida.

The man named Raj said that he paid an exorbitant amount, just to admire the view of the dead walls from his balcony. This man’s message left the internet in disbelief. Several people reacted to the video. “Not possible. Here in a good society you will be charged maximum 30,000 for 3 BHK. Not more than that!! Which society are you in? wrote a social media user. To this the man replied that he was staying in Sector 121 of Noida.

Internet users react

“Pay 64,000?” Brother, what is your salary then? » another replied. “Liar,” yet another comment. “You can get a better view than this for this price in a prime Delhi location. Why do you even pay 64,000 in Noida? another comment on Raj’s post read.

Earlier today, another similar story came from Bangalore, where a man was seen justifying paying rent of Rs 80,000 to enjoy what he said was a very beautiful view. He also said that not all parts of Bengaluru have water and/or electricity problem. Several social media users also reacted to this publication.
