Woman hears ‘strange noises’ outside her house and is shocked by what she discovers

A Scottish woman was left stunned after hearing “strange noises” coming from her garden.

Taking to Reddit to share a photo of the bizarre scene, which featured dozens of ducks having fun on her lawn, she wrote: “I heard some strange noises. I opened my front door to be confronted with this. I’ve never owned one and I’ve never owned any ducks.”

“You could have an infestation of crane flies, hairy worms, or some other insect,” one user said, trying to unravel the mystery. “Crows visit our lawn sometimes when we have lawn bugs.”

“Probably because of the flooded road you have there mate. Really weird,” said another, prompting the original poster to respond: “It’s Scotland. It’s not flooded, it’s It’s a little rain, totally normal haha.”

Another Reddit user added: “Looks like your lawn is wet. Those ducks were probably flying low and saw something attractive in your yard. They’ll take off soon. I have geese stopping by my field on the way to the lake Kinda my little dog and she never forgave the geese for that and now she barks and barks at every commodity and we have tons of them in our neck of the woods.

And a fourth chimed in: “Mallards. They tend to migrate in packs and seek out insects in your garden. Most likely, either they are wild and you are near their water source, or you have a neighbor who doesn’t. I don’t know they can fly. If it’s the former, they’ll visit, eat bugs, and move on. If it’s the latter, they will visit regularly and leave, unless a potted plant is left unattended. “.
