Legon School Leaders Confirm Dean’s Statement On Canceled Shatta Wale Show (Video)

Hall leaders of the University of Ghana have recounted the events that led the school to cancel Shatta Wale’s TF Hall show on June 8, 2024.

Legon Hall leaders confirm statement from Dean of Student Affairs

In an interview with Kojo Sheldon, hall leaders confirmed that the account of the incident by Professor Rosina Kyerematen, the dean of student affairs, was the truth.

According to them, the organizers of the TF Hall event did not follow the due process required to organize the event because they requested permission for a karaoke night, not an artists’ night.

The leaders also confirmed that Professor Rosina Kyerematen met with organizers a day before the event and informed them to cancel it.

An executive member said:

“TF Hall wanted to put on an Artist Night show, but they told the dean they were putting on a karaoke night, not an Artist Night show. These two events are very different. We saw them sharing flyers with Shatta’s scheduled performance Wale every day before the event The dean then informed the organizers in a meeting that they could not hold the event because they had lied.

The executives also clarified that Stonebwoy had nothing to do with the cancellation of Shatta Wale’s show and that SM Boss would have happened if the organizers had followed the right process.

Stonebwoy talks about Shatta Wale’s canceled Legon show

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Stonebwoy has clarified his alleged role in the canceled Shatta Wale show at the University of Ghana.

In an interview on Asaase Radio, Stonebwoy said he had nothing to do with the show’s cancellation.

The BHIM Nation boss also said he was surprised to discover the accusations despite the dean of students’ statement that the cancellation was based on the organizers’ failure to follow university protocols.
