‘Boy Meets World’ Star Trina McGee Shocked By Pregnancy At 54

Trina McGee is excited to celebrate the “miracle” of her fourth pregnancy.

“I kept saying, ‘Is this really happening?’ I always do this. “Is this really happening? But it is,” McGee told PEOPLE in a new interview. “I’ll get sick, or I’ll do something weird (and) it has to do with the pregnancy. And I’m like, ‘This is really happening.’ And I remember all the other times I was pregnant, you know, 25 years ago, and I’m like, wow, this is it, this is really wonderful.

McGee shares three adult children – Ramia, 31, Langston, 29, and Ezra, 25 – with her first husband, Courtland Davis. This latest pregnancy will mark her first child with Marcello Thedford, her husband of 16 years.

“It feels a lot like a miracle,” McGee said of the pregnancy, adding, “It’s a lot more intentional. When I had my older kids, I thought, ‘Okay, I need to go back to the work.’ I have to earn money, and I have an appointment at 4 p.m., and this and that.

This time, McGee takes time to relax and “shut up” before the baby arrives.

“I had all my children during a thriving acting career,” she said. “They were all on TV in my belly. My oldest daughter was in my belly when I did a guest spot on A different world. My second oldest son, he was on the Martin show and Sinbad in my stomach. And then, the last one was born doing A boy meets the world. So they all have that, but this one says, ‘Whoa, okay.'”

McGee added: “I’m not as ambitious as I was when I was younger, in my 20s, where I worked throughout my pregnancies. But I will say that work is starting to come to me just because of the baby , telephone calls and others.” situations happen, so we’ll see what happens. But I’m in no way in a hurry to do anything other than have this baby now.”

McGee is best known for playing Angela Moore, a love interest of Shawn from Rider Strong and the best friend of Danielle Fishel’s Topanga, in A boy meets the world.
