Essendant announces appointment of interim CEO

Harry Dochelli announced in May that he had made the personal decision to retire as president and CEO of Essendant after a successful 12-year tenure with the company and a career spanning more than 30 years in the industry. We will miss him but the company wishes him good health and happiness in this next chapter. Harry will remain as an advisor to the Essendant leadership team until December 31, 2024.

Essendant welcomes David Boone, former CEO of Staples Canada, who has been named interim CEO of Essendant. He brings more than 30 years of proven business leadership experience, including numerous key leadership roles with a focus on the needs of customers and business partners.

Moving forward, the company remains focused on its mission of delivering “the best way to do business” while developing and executing new, innovative growth opportunities. Customer-centric service also remains a core value. Essendant will continue to support its customers’ businesses and partner with suppliers as part of its category strategy.
