Luke Littler delivers brutal message to Harry Maguire after Manchester United defender’s snubbing

Darts sensation Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler sent a brutal message to England manager Gareth Southgate as Harry Maguire was left out of the squad.

The former United captain was part of the Three Lions’ 32-man preliminary squad for their warm-up matches ahead of the European Championships in Germany this summer.

However, reports have emerged that the 31-year-old is among those reportedly not selected in the final 26-man squad to travel to the region ahead of their Group C campaign. England will face Denmark and Slovenia before starting their campaign against Serbia on Sunday June 16.

Maguire missed the final four games of the Premier League season for Erik ten Hag’s side as well as the FA Cup final victory over Manchester City. The defender had joined the pre-Euros training camp early in a bid to claim his place in the final squad, but failed to overcome a calf problem.

United target Jarrad Branthwaite is also expected to miss out, with Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk expected to be included in his first major tournament. United fan Littler took to Instagram with a brutal rebuke of the 32-year-old, who is rumored to have six caps for England in the squad.

Sharing a Benchwarmers Instagram post highlighting players who will miss this summer’s tournament in his story, the 17-year-old said: “But Lewis Dunk is coming in (to the team)” with a no-nonsense monkey emoji.

“Despite my best efforts, I couldn’t overcome a calf injury. Maybe I pushed myself too hard to try,” Maguire wrote on Instagram.

“Quite simply, I’m absolutely gutted. For me, representing England is the biggest honour. It means everything to me. If I can’t help the team as a player, I’ll support them as a fan – with the rest of the country team. Go win it boys.

“Then I will return to managing the Manchester United medical team in order to prepare for next season.”
