A light fixture hangs Wednesday at Magnolia House in Fayetteville. The home was designed by Michael Cockram of Bowerbird Design and is built to the Passive House standard, the gold standard for energy-efficient and sustainable design. Once certified, the home will use about 20 percent of the energy of a home built to similar codes and will be the first certified Passive House in Arkansas.
